We Got Married- Part 2: The Aisle

Guys, I know I did things a little differently here... but I loved it! To see friends gathered in boats and along the shoreline in such a beautiful setting was awesome. The dock was a bit narrow and wobbly, the walk was steep and slippery in those heels, but it was worth it. We opted to not have a bridal party and focus on each other. Shaine had his solo walk, and I walked with my dadio, one of the very few things I always imagined about getting married.

Our nephew Will, handed out popcorn for snacking on while waiting and to throw at us as we exited. I had actually forgotten about the popcorn throwing by the time we finished the ceremony so, although I organized it, it was surprising and so fun! (if anyone has photos of Will handing out the popcorn, please share with me, I' so sad that I have none as our photographer was up with us while we were getting ready)

Also, to see all your faces looking back at us rather than a bunch of electronics was a dream. Thank you for honouring the "no cameras during ceremony" request, it made all the difference. We have these photos with all your unobstructed faces that we can always look back on.

I love the energy that was created by Shaine having a song and walking down the aisle. Wish I could have been there to see it.

Look at my adorable inlaws I just got! They are so welcoming to me.

No bridal party but I honoured my girls by having them wear crowns of foliage with me

This was my view! So exciting, whimsical, magical and beautiful.

While walking may dad proposed that we pretend to abort the mission and really give everyone a scare. We took a quick detour and cracked ourselves up.

I see how much we look alike in this photo and I love it

This is magic. I love these two so much! And they are a great example of marriage.

Cracking me up during his vows

So nice to have a loving family friend perform our ceremony

Sonya did an amazing job reading a poem for us

My ushers and popcorn distributor. You guys clean up well.

CUTE!
When you don't have bridesmaids, what do you do with your bouquet??? Hadn't considered that but Shaine helped me out

"We're married!"

Can I get a wit-neeeess?!?!

I had actually forgotten about the popcorn being thrown (although I hand stamped 70 bags) so this was such a fun surprise that filled me with joy

Shane decided to eat the popcorn as it was thrown at us

I think we look like a couple of kids who just got away with something

Dancing it out (and Will is chasing us with more popcorn)

I hand drew on every paper champagne cup so I just had to include a photo of my DIY

A couple whose shoes match stay together, or something like that

Here comes the best crew of friends that helped organize snacks for everyone!
